Ice packs are pretty useful especially if you play sports or work out because you can injure yourself. I made one of my own. What i used to make my ice pack were two ziplock bags, two cups of water and one cup of alcohol. I then left it in the freezer for a few hours. Home made ice packs are great to have because you can save lots of money by making your own instead of buying a very expensive one at stores or online. These can really help if you get injured at home and need something to heal you.
